We're very happy to announce that Helen Rana's Participant Observation has won our writing competition Detritus.
Congratulations to all the writers who were long and shortlisted. We had more entries than we thought we would receive for a small company but every single story was worth reading. Entrants started by sending in a short extract and every single one had something to recommend it. We hope that they will all find their own publishing path eventually.
In the meantime, all shortlisted entries were invited to send in a full manuscript and we have now chosen the one we enjoyed the most, and think fits with our bookshelf the best.
